Haiku + Senryu

Haiku is a seasonal, reverent celebration of a subject (nature or people) trying to make a feeling.
Senryu tends to have a victim and may be humorous or irreverant trying to make a point.

I remember the Circus from when I was very young, riding on my Dad's shoulders and just amazed by everything I saw - which was everything. I had a severe case of sensory overload - and I LOVED it.

Thank you for linking in to Haiku Friday. I love your 'Ku.

As a kid I cried for all the animals in the circus....

I suspect they'll be more monkeys than lions in and around that tent :)

this sign makes me sad. I hope the day comes when the circuses don't include animals,

"flying spinners of magic" Great line.

I too do not like circuses with animals. One day the circus will not have them and I'll be glad of it.

I enjoyed this one, Gemma ... has the magic of circus (so far I've read only of the sadness and sordid aspect of circuses) ... Thank you for sharing.
