Blissful cockatoo
Feasts on liquid amber fruits
Like cracking eggshells
NOTE
This is a feature of our Autumn on the Mornington Peninsula.
Waves of cockatoos invade the Autumn liquid amber tree to snap, crackle and pop the conkers and make a decidedly nauseating mess.
Their dining manners are not really up to scratch.

Oh, the best one that I've read so far...beautiful :)))
I had a cockatiel who passed away four months back....miss him more today :(
Beautifully depicts the seasonal feast by cockatiel
great take on the prompt!
I like that Cockato and one more addition to the exotic birds found in your region (Mornington Peninsula)!! I can hear the crackle and pop !!
The liquidamber tree is new to me and learnt something here!!
Lovely! Pleasing to my mind this haiku...
Nicely done. Love the photo
