do you feel unloved
pariah of feathered worlds
do you crave some love
NOTE
In my peninsula world, the crow is chased away by kookaburras, magpies and even little wattle birds.
It is not only we humans who feel that the crow is far from acceptable to our psyche.
Many link the crow with death and sorcery.
And yet, legends suggest that the crow as a totem, could be the key to life's mysteries and the potential of energies within.

Very nice and unique take on the prompt!
A lot of concern and affection for a pariah!! A kind and compassionate haiku!!
Here the situation is different where the crow chases other birds. :)
I was sad when reading your haiku. I thought of raven which also has evil spirits related to it but very strong and good characteristics as a totem. I relate very much to its meaning.
Great take on the prompt!!
Gemma perhaps I haven't recognised or mentioned previously, I did not know you are from my home state. It is when I read your footnote on the crow that it twigged.
You actually made me feel sorry for them now.
Oh yes...
I do...
And ur haiku is just awesome...
So different take on prompt
Very different... you've captured the trap in the freedom so very well...
What is it about crows that inspires revulsion in so many people? I happen to like them!
Poignantly written
Crows were my totem in my youth. They helped get through a lot. South East coast US "fish" crows. Good talkers.;-)
